High Environmental Value (HVE)

The HVE (Haute Valeur Environnementale) certification is an official French state recognition that highlights farms and vineyards committed to environmentally respectful practices.

A national, cross-sector certification

HVE applies to all types of agricultural production, including viticulture.

It is built on four essential pillars:

  • The preservation of biodiversity
  • A reasoned phytosanitary strategy
  • Careful management of fertilisation
  • Controlled use of water

To achieve Level 3, the highest level, farms must meet strict, measurable criteria across the entire operation.

What it means for us

This certification commits us to:

  • Monitor and encourage biodiversity in the vineyards: hedgerows, refuge zones, and beneficial insects
  • Reduce and strictly regulate the use of plant protection products
  • Apply fertilisers only according to actual needs
  • Optimise our management of water, energy, and waste

A demanding framework, chosen deliberately

We chose to meet the full Level 3 HVE requirements not for show, but because it reflects our reality and the way we work.

For us, it’s a tool for consistency and progress, on our scale, in line with our land and our craft.
